Our Food for Thought events have their origin in one of the objects set out in our Royal Charter of 1957: "To promote honourable practice". Each popular FfT event examines ethical matters faced by many of our members. We start with a panel of experts in the field giving their views on the issues before opening the discussion to the audience. A time of informal networking and continued discussion follows. The Challenges of Bullying: What can Law Firms learn from the Raab Report? Our panel: • Adam Tolley KC, Fountain Court Chambers - appointed by the Prime Minister to investigate conduct complaints made against the Rt Hon Dominic Raab MP. Adam has recently been shortlisted for Senior Counsel of the Year at the International Employment Lawyer (‘IEL’) Awards 2023 (the IEL’s first annual awards ceremony). Specifically, the shortlisting recognizes Adam’s investigation into bullying at the Ministry of Justice. • John Bowers KC, Principal of Brasenose College, Oxford University, Deputy High Court Judge and Recorder. He practised primarily in employment law and human rights, acted in most of the major industrial disputes over the past decades and is an approved counsel for the Equality and Human Rights Commission. • Iain Miller, Partner of Kingsley Napley LLP, and General Editor of Cordery. Iain specialises in legal ethics, investigations, and public law matters and has acted in many of the leading cases relating to the regulation of lawyers in England and Wales.
